Apple's Success


Its no lie that when thinking of a Multi-Billion dollar company Apple is one that comes to mind and over the past 10 years they have transitioned in to being a major innovator of all types of electronics, including laptops, phones, watches etc. Their main goal is to provide its customers with the best products at a price which is suitable for both the customers and shareholders and since technology has been moving at a rapid paste with online banking , online shopping and different communication methods the demand for personal mobiles and computer have increased. 

Although the rise of technology played a major part of apples success we must not over look their Marketing Mix, lets take the apple watch for example, apple is familiar with its annual releases of few but highly anticipated products which grasps the attention of its costumers having them contemplating the use of their upgrade plan in which helps build apples ecosystem and a strong client base. A great example is my class (Marketing and Adverting KU), it did not take me a long time to realise that majority of students have either one or multiple apple products ranging from phones , laptops and head phones which indicates that by apple having a 0% finance plan or trade-in programmes put in place to make purchasing of their products more accessible are working.

I’m briefly going to be going over apples Marketing Mix so we can understand how they have stablished themselves as a titan of a company. PRODUCT : all apple products have an Innovative design and are made out of noble materials .PRICE: “market skimming” works for apple all the time helping them maximise their profits through early adaptors to the products. PLACE :All apple shops are located in the heart of big cities, Regent Street in central London or in fifth avenue in New York are a great example of how apple uses high traffic locations with a lavish store to enhance its brands image. PROMOTION: Apple has countless celebrity endorsement in many fields and exclusive apps but is it a coincidence that all new apple products get released mid or end of September , right before university’s world wide open their doors to new student ? or is this another way to promote their products to new students.
